Maurice is the driving force behind C.A.O.S.D., bringing over 15 years of experience in track and field coaching to the organization. With a deep commitment to developing both elite and developmental athletes, he has dedicated his career to helping young athletes achieve their full potential. His coaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that focus, desire, and discipline are the cornerstones of athletic success. Having aligned with Track Houston from 2001 to 2012, Maurice has coached a wide range of athletes, from youth to senior levels, in sprints, hurdles, jumps, and relays. His keen eye for detail and hands-on approach have made him a respected figure in the track and field community, particularly in Houston and Chicago, where he has mentored numerous AAU and USATF Junior Olympic athletes.
Maurice’s qualifications are as impressive as his experience. He holds multiple certifications, including USATF Level I and Level II Coaching Certifications in Sprints, Hurdles, Relays, Vertical & Horizontal Jumps. He has also completed the USATF Coaching Education Level III Olympic Track & Field Coach program and the USATF National Podium Education Project. Beyond his technical expertise, he is deeply aware of the socio-economic challenges many young athletes face, and he passionately advocates for the value of education alongside athletic achievement. His commitment to his athletes extends beyond the track, as he strives to instill life skills and a strong ethical foundation in every young person he coaches.
