Track and Field Coach

Rick Kerns is a seasoned track and field athlete and coach with a deep understanding of what it takes to compete at the highest levels. As a former athlete at the University of South Carolina from 1988 to 1992, he specialized in the 400 meters, 800 meters, and 4x400 relay, earning a reputation as a dedicated and accomplished competitor. His experience as a four-year letterman has provided him with the knowledge and expertise to train young athletes in the fundamentals of track and field.

Rick’s coaching at C.A.O.S.D. is characterized by his emphasis on technique, endurance, and mental toughness. He understands the physical and psychological demands of track and field and is committed to helping his athletes excel in these areas. His coaching philosophy is built on discipline, consistency, and a relentless pursuit of excellence. His ability to mentor and guide young athletes makes him a valuable asset to the C.A.O.S.D. coaching staff, where he is dedicated to developing the next generation of track and field stars.
